Hello there! As you may have already guessed, my name is Allison Szywala and I am a public history student at Loyola University Chicago. I am in my third and final year of the program. Additionally, I am also getting an MLIS from Dominican Univeristy in conjunction with Loyola’s program.
My research interests include….
- 19th century American history
- Environmental history and the American conservation movement
- Digital mapping
Outside of my life as a history student, I currently work at a public library in the Chicago suburbs. In my free time you can find me reading, cooking, playing board games, hiking, and camping.
